As someone who has used both, it's obvious that Amazon is the Sears catalog. It's less intuitive that Google and Meta are advertising, until I remember that network TV is too. I think the main problem here, as usual, is displaced incentives. Efficiency decreases profit and human prosperity. That's perverse. It should increase both, but the impacts are misaligned.

I wonder if the Tech and Wall Street sit down will happen before or after the oncoming Tech bubble bursts?
