Your essays about nothings are really something. Keep spreading the word because we need to understand what nothing is doing to everyone.

I love this, Umair. Thank you. Here’s how I am rebelling: I am doing my best to ground my beliefs in daily practice and action. . Here’s what I am doing in not giving up: I am looking at what it means to put love into a world. Mutual Aid, growing a garden, preparing, and creating democracy from my community. Wealth has really never been about money. Now we just get to remember that.

Greetings to you, your beautiful wife, and of course Snowy.

Sobering read, Umair.

Those of us who were lucky enough to have had a good education before the internet driven BS revolution seem to be more able to resist becoming a "nothing," a "Nowhere Man" as the Beatles put it. We were taught how to think, to be voracious readers, to adopt habits that though not designed specifically to resist this.

There are ways to resist that create meaning and public good like volunteering to help the less fortunate. It's trite to say we create our own meaning in life, but it's the truth. It's a kind of useful, quiet rebellion against the attempted nullification of our personality, our individuality.

If you care to give it, I look forward to your response.
